3 Reasons To Choose Your Own Vendors

Through my many years in the Events Industry, I’ve had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful event planners in Southern California from Santa Barbara to San Diego, who have trusted to allow their clients to speak with us directly about the live wedding music of their choice. Choosing Live Wedding Music is usually a very personal decision for most couples.  Some couples are perfectly happy with letting their planner choose every vendor for them. And that’s super cool if you’re very busy! 


There are so many vendors to choose from in each category: Photography, Videography, Music, Florals, Rentals, Bakers, etc. It can be overwhelming. Meeting with your vendor choices will be very helpful in your final decision. You may love one vendor’s work, but may find that after you meet him/her, that they are not the right fit with your personality.  You may want to have a connection with each of your vendors.  They are going to be your dream team to make your vision come to life and you may want to not only like their work, but also LIKE THEM!  This is why couples should hire a planner and ask that planner to set up meetings with each of these prospective vendors/suppliers.

We at The Replicas Music personally love to speak with each prospect. Live Wedding Music is so personal and when we customize your song list, we want to know more about you and what makes you tick, musically.  We are so much more than just a monetary figure. Many planners gather pricing info from several vendors in each category and share it with the couple.  Sharing only a dollar amount doesn’t say much about each supplier. A monetary figure is not a fair representation of what the Live Music Entertainment company has to offer and it certainly doesn’t represent their personality.


Every vendor will have a certain “je ne sais quoi.” You may not be able to put your finger on it, but what ever that “thing” is, you will know it and you will want them as part of your special event! Getting back to choosing your live music:  Every variety band in Los Angeles will have something different to offer.  Go and see them perform LIVE. This will help you in your decision process.  See what their ‘style’ is on stage.  Again, just getting a series of monetary figures / prices of different bands from your planner is not exactly getting to know the style of the performers who may grace your stage at your wedding.  You may find that after speaking with us and seeing our videos that we can cover everything you need in the style and grace you are looking for … and you may realize you need to look no further.  You have chosen your music and it can be crossed off your list of things to do.  


Once you’ve met with all your vendor prospects and assessed personalities and style, you may be willing to spend a little more in one area because a vendor in another area is charging you a lot less than you initially thought.  Quality, Award Winning, live music is a higher ticket item.  Be aware of this when you are creating your budget for your wedding.
